In recent weeks I got to know three ladies on separate occasions by the name of Lily. What a coincindence! So this design is inspired by lilies, specifically the Spider Lily.

It all started with the photo in the first post - that of the slender trunk of a young palm in the Singapore Botanical Gardens. Looking at the photos taken I was somehow inspired to make a drawing in a light-hearted kind of manner and from there I discovered that I really enjoy doing this kind of drawing - quick, easy and creative.
